Hannibal Rising...
Hannibal Rising [MA 15+] In Eastern Europe at the end of World War II, a young Hannibal (Gaspard Ulliel) watches as his parents violently die, leaving his young sister in his care.
Alone and without any means of support, he is forced to live in a Soviet orphanage. He flees to Paris to find his uncle has died but his Japanese aunt, Lady Murasaki (Gong Li) welcomes him. Even her kindness and love cannot soothe the nightmares and sorrows that plague him.
Showing a cunning aptitude for science, Hannibal is accepted into medical school, which serves to hone his skills and provide the tools to exact justice on the war criminals that haunt him day and night.
This quest will ignite an insatiable lust within a serial killer who was not born, but made.
Looking for some career ideas...
Hey everyone,
As most of you know, i have been at the same job for ages and have kinda hated it for a few years now... Well, i am putting the word out there to see if anyone knows of positions currently available at their place of employment or anyone who works within the publishing industry. I am going to work on my CV over the next week and will make this available to anyone who is happy to pass this on for any position you think i would be good for... I will also post my skills etc on here as soon as i get the CV sorted so that if something does come up, my skills, experience etc will be here at the flick of a mouse... But thought i would just plant the seed until then... so that i am not far from your thoughts if something does come up!!! Ideally, I would love to get into the publishing industry as a proof reader/editor etc so if you know of anyone in that field, please let me know. Anything to do with the movie or music industry would be awesome too! I would also be interested in lots of other things so if you know of anything - i could well fit the job description anyway... So long as its not in the medical field, law or anything that requires full on training - of course.
Thanks anyway,
April. xxx

Save The Palace & The Palais!!!
***Please help SAVE The Palace & The Palais!!!***
If you love or even just like music a little bit or if you love Melbourne's St Kilda and think that it should stay exactly the way it is and also retain it's little touch of musical history...
THEN SIGN THE PETITION AND SAVE THE PALACE...
Today I ventured on down to the Palace website to enquire about tickets for Vince Neil's tour and to my dismay - and I had heard rumours about this but thought it was just a frickin nightmare I was having - it seems that the Port Phillip council wants to do things to the surrounding areas that will probably see the end of an era! So if you don't want that to happen, even if you hate music! Do it for the rest of us and sign the petition! Thanks heaps everyone!
Don't let them take away a huge part of Melbourne's live music scene!!! If you have EVER seen a live band wherever or whomever it may have been... Then it's criminal if you don't sign the petition today!!!
Happy Birthday Jaimee.
Little Jaimee, turned 9 years old today. She is the 1st daughter of Jenni, Mia's mum. Now I had a bit of a problem with being allowed to publish pics of Mia so I had to take them off (Mia is my niece for those who are not in the know) but I am sure that Jaimee will be thrilled to score a mention. We all went over there tonite to enjoy a BBQ dinner and some good fun. There was bubble blowing - thanks in part to Jodi who brought them for AJ's birthday party on Saturday (which i will report on once I get some pics from the lovely Miss Del) trampoline jumping, Barbie's, Freddo ice cream cake and lots of laughter. Kids are sooooo much fun! She's so lucky that she also gets to have a glamour party on saturday as well... I have been invited but not sure if I can make it yet but if I do, I am sure I will have heaps of groovy pics to post after that little event!
Happy Birthday, James! Lots of love, April. xxx

Your absolute must have...
If you had to fill an iPod with heaps of songs, what would be your top 10 MUST HAVE songs on there? you know the ones, the songs that make you jump up and down when you hear them, flash you back to your first kiss or remind you of one of the happiest moments in your life when you catch even the last chorus of them on the radio...
Currently my utmost songs of importance seem to be:
- Girls Girls Girls - Motley Crue (pretty much all from MC and BJ - see next song)
- Secret Dreams - Bon Jovi
- Duran Duran - All (but Wild Boys specifically)
- Doves Cry - Prince
- endless road - time bandits
- mad about you / i feel the magic - belinda carlisle
- dreams - van halen
- Human - Human League
- Stimulation - Wa Wa Nee
- boom boom boom - paul lekakis
- will you still love me - chicago
- nobody's fool / don't know what you got til it's gone - Cinderella
- sex drive - dead or alive
- everything i have from The Donna's
- pour some sugar on me / love bites - def leppard
- the final countdown - Europe
- All songs by guns and roses
- I want to know what love is - foreigner
- last christmas - Wham!
- burn for you - INXS
- You I know - Jenny Morris
- Don't call me baby - Voice of the beehive
Ok so there are soooo many more that have to be on there, like KISS songs, Danielle Minogue, Noiseworks, poison, John Taylor (YUM) Pseudo Echo, Real Life and heaps of Queen, but it would just go on forever! And i do soooooooooooooo love music!
Can't wait to hear from you all with your must haves... So start thinking and let me know! You might just remind me of a song i have forgotten!
Alice in Wonderland indulgence...
While looking for some pics for the previous post, i came across some really cool Alice pics, so here they are... Just felt like adding a few on here. Seemed appropriate somehow!
Dear...
...Anonymous poster...
Seems the anonymous posters' identity so far continues to elude me... Although it is kind of fun to keep on guessing as to your identity, perhaps it might be nice to just end the guessing games and email me (secretly) who the hell you are... cos although i am sure that messing with my seriously curious mind is surely making you feel all important and the like, i will not continue to BITE forever... This can not continue... Can it?
Curiouser and curiouser...
Guess what...?
My iPod now has 1747 songs on it which it tells me equates to over 5 days of music listening time... And no matter how hard I try, by listening to it on my lunch breaks, while walking and sometimes just when i am in bed, i don't think i am ever going to be able to listen to all that is on there in one sitting... Oh and besides the songs already on there, i continue to add more and more and more every few days. Perhaps it is just the sheer lunacy of how much it can actually hold that drives me on or the fact that i own sooooooooooooooooo many CD's (plus some that don't even belong to me) that i just have given myself this dare (subconsciously) to see if i can actually fit them all on there! No matter, it's a great challenge either way. Will keep you posted as the tally progresses!

In fact I really don't seem to get enough if the truth be known cos i love hearing from you all, however please remember if you do leave a comment (thankyou heaps) if you do and are not an existing blogger yourself and you don't use the option to put a name to the comment at the earliest stage, please don't forget to sign your comment... I currently don't know who wrote the one on the perfect man... Can whomever is responsible for this little oversight, please let me know!!!

The Holiday
I love going to the movies and i especially like going with people who's company just makes the movie we are seeing so much better... In fact I wish I went to see more movies so whenever you have one you want to see, think of me! Anyway, I went to see The Holiday, with my good friend B, B after her middle name and also cos we both loved Buffy and 'B' is what faith called buffy during her time on the show, B really hates Cameron Diaz but it was my Birthday movie visit so it was my choice and i love her sooooooo she had to suck it up... Don't worry, she liked it too though!
Well, I have to say that it was a very entertaining movie, with a few very funny parts and a couple of things that you just did not see coming, but it was also kinda disappointing! I expected it to be a bit funnier, in fact a lot funnier and there were a couple of things about it that were actually a little annoying and somewhat distracting. So my recommendation: Feel good film but wait for video!

My dear friend, Leah.
Did you ever have a friend in school that just stays with you forever? Well over the last few years several of them have resurfaced into my life and 2 that are my soul mates. This is a picture of "me" Leah, a dear friend and soul mate, or kindred spirit as my mum would say, who left high school too soon and who still means the world to me.
