Four final-quarter goals to Lance Franklin helped Hawthorn overrun Melbourne and advance to the NAB Cup quarter-finals with a 24-point win at Telstra Dome.

With his side trailing by 12 points at three-quarter time, the exciting Franklin single-handedly changed the game with three of his five goals early in the fourth term to secure the 3.11.17 (110) to 2.9.14 (86) win.

Heroes...

Me and Del, are obsessed!!! Obsessed I tell you! As you all know, i've had a shitty start to the year and can use some cheering up yeah, so to keep some sense of normalcy in my life when all seems to have fucked up my sense of equilibrium so far this year, I went to F&C nite at Del and Sean's, friday nite... And since I am yet to really sleep properly or without nightmares since the first day of this month, on friday nite I had the intention of leaving early from F&C's nite to try the sleeping thing. Well that didn't happen, Del managed to keep me there (willingly in the end - I have and never will give into peer group pressure) to watch some Charmed and some Heroes. My plan was to leave by 10pm and be in bed by 10:15. Not so. I was there in and out of dozing while watching Heroes... It's damn good! I hope you are all watching it! We watched 3 episodes and I AM HOOKED! Can't wait to see what happens to the indestructible chick this week! Bring it on!

Just a quick note to everyone that has offered their kind condolences to me over the last week at the loss of, Travis Anthony Gatt. I am grieving quite badly at the moment and may be out of commission for a little while in order to get my 'april mojo' back... That doesn't mean you can't call or contact me in any way, no-one likes to feel all alone - it just means if i am slow to call back or do not answer the phone, please do not take it personally. Thanks especially to Ellen and Del who fed me last friday the nite after the news (a delicious chicken salad mix which i am sure i will appreciate again just tell me what to bring... hint hint) and to Fee who gave me the beautiful flowers and card. These have all been a source of strength to me at this time and i did not want them to go unnoticed or unappreciated. I hope to see and hear from you all soon. And also to be back to my ever schweppervescent self before too long.
