Only 3 days left...

Bummer! I have only 3 full days left before my holidays are over and I have to return to work... Not looking forward to the early wake ups! Bugger...

Motley Crue, have a few things in the pipeline that I hope won't take tooooo long to come to fruition...

Since their KickAss tour last year (where you all know I got to meet the sexiest man alive, NIKKI SIXX) and the joining with Aerosmith as a result of their amazing and raunchy Red, White and Crue tour, they are one day going back into the studio to record a much anticipated new album...

Speaking to Billboard, bassist Nikki Sixx laid out plans for a myriad of new projects for the band. Motley Crue will join the Route Of All Evil Tour with Aerosmith to follow up their Red, White And Crue world reunion tour, Sixx saying, "I think both bands work together great but they're different enough where it's not going to get boring."

The band is also heavily involved in the lead up to production of a MTV/Paramount film based of the debauchery featured in their book The Dirt. The film is due for release in 2007.

Sixx also revealed that he will soon launch a clothing line called Royal Underground, as well as a book of his own, called 'The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star.' I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS BOOK!!!

Most importantly, he confirmed that Motley Crue will release a new album, the first with the original line-up since 1997's 'Generation Swine'. But Sixx did note that while they've been writing, the release may be a long while off, "There's a lot of [new] music but I don't feel any urgency."

This album, can not come soon enough for me!

Girlfriend and Sister's Week

What would most of us do without our sisters, dirty friends, confidants and shopping, lunching over bottles of wine and travelling girls for girly weekends away??? Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake! TO MY GIRLFRIENDS!

It is good to be a woman:
1. We got off the Titanic first.
2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynaecological disorder excuses.
3 Taxis stop for us.
4. We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo.
6. We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves - but if we do, who cares right!!!
7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know. But we do it for ourselves anyway.
8. We can congratulate our team-mate without ever touching her rear end.
9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked - but we can if we want to... and sometimes we want to.
12. If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will look like an idiot - but still know the sex will be great.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears
14. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems. (OR CHEESE in my case)
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren't listening anyway. Pass this on to all the bright women you know and make their day!!!!!

Miami Vice follow up...

In short... Don't bother! If it hadn't have been free, I wouldn't have paid to see it anyway, but i'm glad it cost me nothing let me tell you. Colin Farrell was kinda hot in it, but unless you get to see it for free like me, I would recommend you give it a miss! But, of course it is up to you.

Chaise arrives Friday.

My new wonderful chaise sofa thingy, will be arriving on Friday! I can't wait. It will be so cool to have a nice couch to sit on again...

The washing woman has arrived...

Well, I am about to become the washing woman! And I hasten to say, but that is going to be a GOOD thing. Today mum rang me to tell me that there were some washing machines on sale at the good old KMart. So I raced on down there and managed to score myself one. There were only a few available you see and at $299 for a 5.5k washer - I was lucky to be one of those who managed to acquire one. So you see, as much as this will be a great thing, not having to lug all my washing down to mum to get her to do it for me, (which is essentially a good thing cos then I don't have to do it) but its a pain in the ass if you I need something washed in a frickin' hurry. So now I have my own I will be fully equipped at my house to be self sufficient. Yay for me. It arrives tomorrow and I hope it won't be too hard to hook up. Now all I need is my new chaise sofa to arrive... fingers crossed that will be before I go back to work.

It's my party and i'll eat pie if I want to...

Well, today it's my Birthday and after all the waiting for the parental unit to arrive, I have finally been able to eat a piece of Lemon Meringue Pie! That was my requested birthday cake this year. It was really yum! I got some really cool presents too. Charmed season's 5 & 6 from mum and dad and number 7, from my dear friend Beckstar. I also got a lovely necklace from m&d too. And from Ellen and Del, I received a Japanese version of, 'Alice In Wonderland' to add to my, Alice book collection. It's way cool. Oh and a really funky little Alice tin box. Alice rocks! Thanks girls! Thanks to all really... Anyway, I'll take a pic of my great gifts and post them when I get a chance. Well it's off to see Miami Vice soon, can't wait. Then a glass or 2 of wine and maybe some spagbog for dinner. Catch!

BEVERLY HILLS 90210 COMING ON DVD!

At long, long, long last, Beverly Hills 90210, arguably one of the best shows ever made, will be available on dvd on November 7th, 2006. Now I don't know about all of you, but that excites the hell out of me!!! I love that show and especially Jenni Garth. She rocked! She always had the best hair, even when she was a mad ass drug addict! So hands up who's excited!!! (disclaimer: not sure if that release date is the american one or if that also applies to us over in OZ) but I am the woman in the know so i'll keep you posted.

Miami Vice birthday present from Village cinemas. Yay!

Well you know you're in for a great birthday when even Village cinemas sends you a present. Tomorrow nite, Bonnie and I are off to a free screening of Miami Vice, on Village! So not only do I get to see Colin Farrell as a hot chopper, but I also get to see this movie for free and on my actual birthday. Do you think they planned this just for me??? I know i'm important and all that, but... Anyway, i'll let you all know what it was like afterwards.

Michael Hutchence Tribute to come from Hollywood.

For better or worse, Michael Hutchence finally looks set to be immortalised by Hollywood. Rather than have a lasting memory of him as a man who did or did not commit suicide in a hotel room, by autoerotic asphyxiation, (I personally do not believe that to be the case - but we will never know) to save his memory from the macabre, it seems there is a movie going to be made to represent the artist and not the other crap. Awesome... Can't wait.

Sebastian Bach concert

As you have probably guessed, its time for a music entry from the metal genre... Sebastian is the hot long haired guy in the middle. I know, surprise surprise!!!

Sini and I, are going to the Sebastian Bach gig in Melbourne at the palace on 15th September. He was a major fave of mine in the metal heydays of the 80's for me. He is still such a spunk however, it was a bit disconcerting when I saw him on episodes of Gilmore Girls, recently. Not really metal at all that show! The only thing that gave him back his metal street cred, was when I saw him ramming a chick up against the wall with his tongue down her throat! Hmmm much better! he he he

Jay & Silent Bob are back!!!

Anyone who loves Chasing Amy, Dogma, Clerks & Jay & Silent Bob strike back and who doesn't, right!, are all on the edge of their seats at the announcement of the upcoming movie CLERKS 2!!!
I am one of them... I can't wait for it to arrive here in OZ. I love Jay - he is a hottie and the movies just rock... Here's the synopsis.

Dante and Randal are now in their thirties - and slowly learning that there may be more to life than just sitting around, dissecting pop culture and talking about sex.

A calamity at Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randall's (Jeff Anderson) shop sends them looking for new horizons, but they ultimately settle at Mooby's - a fictional Disney-McDonald's-style fast-food empire.

Free from his dead-end job (and lodged in a new one), Dante begins to break free of his rut, planning to move away with his clingy fiancé. Dante is ready to leave the horrors of minimum-wage New Jersey behind, but Randal - always the more hostile of the two - starts to become overwhelmed by his own rancor.

Broadband has entered the building!

I finally have the internet at home so can now blog, check emails, write letters, comments and do all of the net things that the common folk seem to do these days... Including using messenger and the like... Hope to speak/see/hear from you all soon.

All taking shape...

My home is now starting to feel like a real home... I set up a home phone line today and have applied for the internet and I even ordered a cool couch from fantastic furniture the other day! The pic is of a blue one, but mine is a yummy chocolate 'feels like' suede couch! Should receive it by the end of the month and hopefully sooner... Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I am on holidays at the moment and it feels so good to say that i don't go back to work til the 30th August! Yay for me... the sleep ins are working for me so far. Will write again soon.
