Bugger!

And so this is Christmas...

And what have we done???

Got drunk, ate crab, potato salad and king prawns, got merry christmas kisses from cute granny's and family people, but not really from anyone that I would like to have snogged big time, got messages from people and messaged people back, some that I should have and some that I shouldn't have... (But they started it!!! I have witnesses dammit!) Presents were enjoyed, crabs were cracked open and the fam just went with the day. Alcoholic lubrication made my day all that more easier... Special thanks to Betty Nuggs for her words of inspiration and constant support in many areas, to my Grandma who is just the cutest and to the wonderful people at Giesen - The Brother Land winery for making it all good! I sincerely hope that everyone had a great day and are now ready for new years eve...

This is a pic of the naughty Christmas dress I managed to acquire for myself in the spirit of Christmas... Now if only I had someone to dress up for... It might have been really quite cool to have worn it on christmas day - now if only it had've arrived in the post before then! Bugger!

Yum... Mexican!

It's Christmas Eve and as per every 24th December, I am off to dinner with Taryn tonight. I can't wait, I have been hanging for Mexican food for ages. I seem to have become a bit lax about my Culinary Delights Journey I had ambitions of pursuing this year, but I have tried several times to get to Soul Mama and The Spanish restaurant but things have not worked out. It's either been too hot or the person i've planned to go with has had to postpone for some reason or another... So don't think I have forgotten. I am also hoping to do Yum Cha with my dear friend Louise, while she is in Melbourne this time of year. Anyway, I haven't been out to dinner for ages so it's best that I get a bit of Mexican and Margarita time under my belt before I trek off into the culinary unknown... Right!? At least that's what i'm telling myself. He he he

Morph...

Anna recently reminded me about my love for "The Morph" with her 'tagged' responses. It has renewed my passion for the clay creature! So i thought it only fitting that he should make an appearance on my blog. I loved Morph with a passion and it was kinda the only show that brought my whole family together around the dinner table or television... We all loved it!

It's really fricken hot in here...

The temp thingy in my house says 29 degrees. Shit if that's inside, what's it like outside??? I'm not a heat or summer loving chick, so I will not be going out to find out. So I will stay inside with the fans going and help myself to a couple of cold Splice drinks... The alcohol should cool me down, right? How's everyone else dealing with the heat?

Potato lust

Ok so i know i love potato, (who doesn't right?) but when i was planning my lunch today, i clearly wasn't thinking of much else... Case in point: today my lunch consisted of Chevups with chilli (chevups are sausages without the skin. Much healthier than normal sausages with like, 66% less fat - THANKS NYDZ AND EVAN) , cooked hot chips and potato salad... Is that wrong???Mr Potato head says "it is sooooooo right to love the potato... get it intaya!"

A little about me...

Today when I checked in on SuperRelish, which I do quite regularly, I discovered that I had been tagged!!! Now let me explain, its kinda one of those quiz type things that asks these random get to know you questionnaire thingys! So, not one to let a challenge go unanswered, here you go!

Things that Scare me:
Seriously: death. The kraft cheese factory going out of business.

Funny ha ha: suddenly going deaf so I can't hear music, having no alchohol in the house and the world suddenly running out of great lasagne! (hey I think they may be serious answers too actually!)

People who make me laugh:
Jerry lewis and pretty much most of my friends!

I love:
Music, music, music! Motley Crue, Prince, my friends, great cheese, (basically any cheese) except that gross blue shit, lasagne, alcohol and you can never go past a great shag! ;-)

I hate:
People who take you for granted, treat you like shit or are not genuine. Not having any cheese in the house...

I don't understand:
Why people deny the powers of the lunar cycle...

Things on my desk: beer (corona with lemon - YUM), camera, dictionary, thesaurus, Christmas cards waiting to be written, diary and some other shit...

What I'm doing right now:
listening to a marathon of Bon Jovi's full catalogue... Or what I have of it anyway, drinking a beer and trying to work out what I will make for dinner. Normally FnC's nite, but due to the McConville's stage debut tomorrow, its been rainchecked so i am at a loss!

Things I want to do before I die:
Learn to play an instrument, finish my book, learn French, eat some triple cream brie in France, make my own wine, fall in love again and learn to drive a manual car so i can someday drive a porsche!

Things I can do:
Write, cook lots of yummy stuff, mix a mean Pina Colada, sing & many more things!

Things I can't do:
Play the piano, pee standing up, drive a manual car, lift a fridge, connect dvd players!

I think you should listen to:
Music, music, music! Motley Crue, Metallica, The Cult, The Sweet, Skyhooks, Prince, Whitesnake, Gunners, Cinderella, Anything from the 80's and some of the 90's...

You should NEVER listen to:
Anything country and western, the gypsy kings, shania twain and that fucken kasey chambers who sounds like she is a strangled cat!

I'd like to learn:
To play an instrument, make wine, make cheese and the stuff mentioned before.

My Favorite foods:
Lasagne, anything italian really, mexican, indian, FnC's, pizza, cheese on toast.

Beverages I drink regularly:
Diet lemon cordial, milk, orange & mango juice, Riccadonna, Absolut vodka, muscat, banana liqueur, port, baileys and corona's.

Shows I watched as a kid:
Educating Marmalade, HR Puffinstuff, Humphrey, Inspector Gadget, The Smurfs, Chipmunks.

The full moon affects us all...

Has anyone else noticed that the crazies are out? Especially the last couple of days? Well i don't care what anyone says, even tho people typically get crazy this time of year, its not just that, its the FUCKEN FULL MOON! Anyone who doesn't believe it... You're crazy too! he he he.
