Taryn had a baby boy, Mitchell Riley Higgs, on wednesday nite at 11.04pm. Will post pics as they come to hand.

I am home...

Well it's official. I am now a resident of Spotswood! I moved in on saturday and I am almost settled in. You will all have to come and visit some time soon. Will keep you posted on it all as it happens. As you can probably tell, have been busy moving, so no time to blog. More soon. x

Damn weather...

Although I will probably get heaps of packing done today, the bloody weather has forecast rain for the next few days. I need to make it stop or i can't take my bed over! Bloody hell... if only freedom was easier. IS mother nature trying to tell me something? I hope not. Oh well, wish me luck and wish for the rain to STOP!

Countdown commencing...

Well, the electricity is connected, the boxes have been scrounged and the packing has begun... Official "start moving" day is Saturday 15th July. Gotta pack and pack and pack and then transport back and forth until all is done. Then the UNpacking begins... PHEW!

Went there tonite to check it all out and it seems in all the excitement, I had neglected to notice that I had ceiling fans in both my living area and my bedroom. That's great news since I was worried about the Australian summer... And overheating. I also managed to meet one of my neighbours who seems nice and friendly. He came over and introduced himself while I was trying to work out the electricity bungle.

Still haven't organised my phone line yet, altho I did ring telstra today to enquire and it all just seems tooooo hard! When did they introduce home phone PLANS? Weird...

Just a few little mentions before I get back to it, thanks to Anna, for the tips about moving, they have been noted!

And to all those who have offered their much appreciated help in assisting with the move, thanks heaps in advance! Will Keep you all up to date with the progress.

It's all mine!

Well I picked up the keys and if all goes well, I will be moved in totally by tuesday... Little by little inch by inch... tearin' down the walls! (sorry, Poison reference...) But the moving and packing will begin tomorrow nite.

My New Home!

These are the pics of my new home. It is perfect! It is sooooo close to work and the city and all of my friends! I received the news this morning that my application was successful. I was so excited from the anticipation of hearing about it, I even woke up at 7am to wait for the call! And they didn't ring til 10:30!!! And you all know how big i love my sleep ins! So that in itself was a big deal for me! Well, I pick up the keys today so moving will be happening over the next couple of days! Yay for me... Once I'm settled, you will all have to come over some time soon for a Baileys! Movie nites, home cooked dinners or a cuppa or 2. I will definately be having some celebratory champagne when I move in... Its very cool. You're welcome any time.

Big brother, Zak...

Just so he doesn't feel left out, this is a pic of Zak, Georgia's brother. He will be 3 on 28th July. Isn't he a little spunk!!!

Today I met, Georgia May Traynor.

This is the new addition to the Traynor household! Beautiful, Georgia May. She was born on 16th June @ 4:42pm. This is the first time I have met the little princess and she was a delight. Apparently all she does is sleep and eat. Occasionally cries, but that's about it. I look forward to my next visit with her and her big brother Zak, when the Traynor clan move into their new house next weekend...

Superman Returns...

Yesterday, I went to see the movie, Superman Returns. I had not really been fussed as to whether i would see this or not, but the opportunity came up and I decided to go. Well, it was a very good movie - probably more because i expected it to be really crap - but it was something i was glad i saw at the theatre.

I was also impressed with the lead actor... I felt he would never match up to my generations superman, Christopher Reeve, and i was correct, but he was still a bit of a hottie...

Warning though: if you are expecting heaps and heaps of action, you won't get it... I felt it was more of a love story... but if you do see it, let me know what you think.

Mmmm give us a kiss, Superman!!!

Busy, busy, busy!

Been really busy the last week, looking for a new place to live, catching up with friends and watching more movies... will update everyone in the days to come. Wish me luck with the househunting... Aaaaah! I have the whole month of august off to continue...
